Projects & writing

Making tools. Exploring ideas.

Alongside molecular research, I build practical software and explore how writing and structured thinking can make complex information easier to work with.

01

Word2MD

From documents to reusable text

PythonMarkdownGUI

A Word-to-Markdown tool for .docx/.doc files, with support for images, LaTeX equations, tables and batch conversion. A graphical interface and Windows executable make it accessible without a command-line workflow.

In practice
Document parsing, conversion workflows, desktop interfaces and software packaging.

The Prism

A workspace for structured thinking

Next.jsTypeScriptLLM APIs

A web application for examining sources, evidence, reasoning and context. It explores how manual analysis and AI assistance can work together when interpreting complex information; generated assessments still require human judgement.

In practice
Web interaction, bilingual interfaces, LLM API integration and AI-assisted development.

02 / Writing & sharing

Writing & sharing

Reading, writing and sharing knowledge are an important part of how I learn. I have published more than 40 articles on Zhihu, a Chinese-language platform. I am interested in turning what I learn into clear explanations, useful tools and questions worth exploring.

40+ articles · 720,000+ cumulative reads on ZhihuAs of 20 October 2026. Cumulative reads, not unique readers.

Selected technical articles

Articles are in Chinese. They cover molecular modelling, machine learning, research computing and information workflows.

Molecular modelling & workflows

Machine learning & drug discovery

Research computing & knowledge sharing

Science communication

In 2020, I took part in an iGEM-related Zhihu livestream about cyanobacteria and a school science-outreach activity. These experiences complement the technical introductions and practical training I have delivered to research collaborators.

What connects these projects

Practical tools

Reducing friction in document handling and everyday knowledge work.

Critical thinking

Examining where information comes from and how conclusions are supported.

Writing to understand

Making room for reading, reflection and clear explanations.
